A New York Central Pacemaker Freight Service pulled by a Niagara 4-8-4 steam locomotive runs on the HO Scale DCC Layout at Carquinez Model Railroad Society.
This HO-scale train is owned and modeled by Jim Evans.
Pacemaker Freight Service was originally started by the New York Central railroad as a fast overnight service. It was inaugurated in July 1946. It features distinctive read-and-gray cars.
The trains were originally pulled by dedicated NYC Niagara 4-8-4 steam locomotive until 1948 when the operation was dieselized.
