Of the 1.3 Million Indians who took part in the First World War, did you know that there were not only soldiers but also labourers? More than 8,00,000 soldiers and more than 5,00,000 laborers participated in the First World War. Indian troops in Pas-de-Calais were few of the worst hit units with several thousands of deaths incl. doctors!
