Fluid Riposte
The heart of the Fluid Riposte depends less on brute force and more in finesse and timing.
You can overpower an opponent, especially one stronger than you, by redirecting the energy of their attack to take them off balance or to add power to your own attack.
When a technique is using strength to overpower the opponent it needs to be focused, committed and intentional. The Fluid Riposte that relies on strength is very direct and must combine defense and attack into the same motion.
In blade to blade contact be aware of who has more leverage and how to change that to your advantage.
