1. Neurones- A nerve cell that receives and sends electrical
signals over long distances within the body.
2- Nervous System- A system that invertebrates which are made up of the brain and spinal cord, nerves, ganglia, and parts of the receptor organs.
3- Central Nervous System- The central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord.
4- Peripheral Nervous System- The portion of the nervous system that is outside the brain and spinal cord.
5- Autonomic nervous system- A part of the nervous system that regulates key involuntary functions of the body, including the activity of the heart muscle the smooth muscles, including the muscles of the intestinal tract; and the glands.
