SWIR image sensors can help to identify the precise location of a wildfire blaze as they capture the intense SWIR light emitted by fire. In this video, we compare the results of capturing flames in the mountains using SWIR and a visible spectrum camera.
Filming setup:
・The scene captured is a well-controlled mountain-burning event, ensuring safety throughout the process.
・The SWIR camera is equipped with a 1,550nm band-pass filter.
