Haunted Crowhurst Church | 4000-Year-Old Tree & Witch Marks of Protection

Deep in the Surrey countryside lies Crowhurst Church, a place where time — and something else— still lingers. Beneath the shadow of a 4000-year-old yew tree, older than Stonehenge itself, the air feels heavy… as though the past never left.



Inside this ancient church, carved into the stone of the baptismal font, are witch marks — strange protective symbols once used to keep evil at bay. But standing there in the dim light, you can’t help but wonder… were they protecting the villagers from something — or trapping it within?



In this video, I explore the haunted stillness of St. George’s Church, Crowhurst (Surrey) — from its ancient pagan roots to the chilling stories that echo through the graveyard. If old churches, ghost stories, and dark English folklore send shivers down your spine, you’re in the right place.
