Remembering Franco Corelli with family, friends and colleagues on October 28, 2007, in Milan, at the Casa Verdi. Among those present, the (at the time 97-year-old!) legendary soprano Magda Olivero remembers her last meeting with her dear colleague.

As the centenary year draws to a close, thanks to Graziano Corelli (close friend and second cousin of Franco), who shared with us some videos of the annual commemorations following Franco's death, organised by him on behalf and with the support of Franco's widow, Loretta Di Lelio, we can make up for what this year's circumstances have allowed only in a very limited form, if at all: we can remember Franco together, and through this video, in the company of people, many of whom are no longer with us, but who were close to Franco: his wife Loretta, other loved ones, friends, family and colleagues.

This video does not include the full commemoration, but you can watch the almost one-hour presentation and extra audio and video clips that were played for those present in separate videos, following the links in the description.

Many thanks to Graziano Corelli for sharing this magical footage with us, and of course for organising and conducting the commemorations, to his son Enrico for his help with the multimedia and organisation, Giancarlo Landini for his always insightful and fascinating analysis (of which, unfortunately, only a snippet is available here), and it is with a heavy heart that we remember the other participants in the video who are no longer with us, such as Loretta and Magda Olivero.

Ricordando Franco Corelli con la famiglia, gli amici e i colleghi il 28 ottobre 2007 a Milano, a Casa Verdi. Tra i presenti, il (allora 97enne!) leggendario soprano Magda Olivero ricorda il suo ultimo incontro con il caro collega.

Mentre l'anno del centenario volge al termine, grazie a Graziano Corelli (amico stretto e cugino di secondo grado di Franco), che ha condiviso con noi alcuni video delle commemorazioni annuali successive alla morte di Franco, da lui organizzate per conto e con il sostegno della vedova di Franco, Loretta Di Lelio, possiamo recuperare ciò che le circostanze di quest'anno hanno permesso solo in forma molto limitata, se non addirittura nulla: possiamo ricordare Franco insieme, e attraverso questo video, in compagnia di persone, molte delle quali non sono più con noi, ma che erano vicine a Franco: sua moglie Loretta, altri cari, amici, familiari e colleghi.

Questo video non include la commemorazione completa, ma è possibile vedere la presentazione di quasi un'ora e gli extra audio e video che sono stati riprodotti per i presenti in video separati, seguendo i link nella descrizione.

Un ringraziamento a Graziano Corelli per aver condiviso con noi questo magico filmato, e naturalmente per aver organizzato e condotto le commemorazioni, a suo figlio Enrico per l'aiuto nella multimedialità e nell'organizzazione, a Giancarlo Landini per la sua sempre acuta e affascinante analisi (di cui, purtroppo, è disponibile qui solo un frammento), ed è con il cuore pesante che ricordiamo gli altri partecipanti al video che non sono più con noi, come Loretta e Magda Olivero.
