Chief Casmir Igbokwe, Wife Mark 25 Years of Matrimony in Isuofia

Media icon reflects on patience, perseverance and peace, urges patience, communication in marriage

It was a moment of thanksgiving, reflection, and celebration on Wednesday, January 1, 2026, as renowned journalist and media executive, Chief Casmir Chibuzo Igbokwe (Okpalaezeugo), and his amiable wife, Lolo Ifeoma Stella Igbokwe, marked their 25th wedding anniversary in grand style at Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Silver Jubilee celebration commenced with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Isuofia, where the couple, in the presence of the officiating priest, renewed their marital vows, reaffirming their commitment to unity, love, and mutual understanding. As part of the symbolic renewal, they exchanged wedding rings, drawing admiration from the congregation.
Following the church service, the celebration moved to a colourful reception at the couple’s residence in Akulu, Isuofia, where family members, friends, professional colleagues, and community leaders gathered to rejoice with the celebrants.
The event attracted a wide array of notable personalities from within and outside Isuofia. Members of the Elite Club of Isuofia, of which Chief Igbokwe is a distinguished member, were present in large numbers, alongside associates from the media, community leaders, and well-wishers who came to identify with the couple on the milestone occasion.
The ceremony reached its climax as Chief and Mrs. Igbokwe took to the dance floor in thanksgiving, expressing profound gratitude to God for His guidance and sustenance over the past 25 years. Their children stood proudly beside them, adding warmth and family essence to the celebration, as guests were lavishly entertained.
Speaking with journalists at the event, Chief Igbokwe described the journey as one defined by resilience, patience, and shared commitment.
“Twenty-five years has been a journey of smiles, ups and downs. Life is not always rosy; you experience both the good and the challenging moments. When we started, we had our challenges, like every other couple,” he said.
“For us, in these 25 years, there was no third party between us. It has been about patience, perseverance, endurance, peace, and love. We faced our challenges together and moved forward.”
He advised younger couples to embrace patience, open communication, and internal conflict resolution as keys to sustaining marital harmony.
Also speaking, Mrs. Ifeoma Igbokwe expressed deep gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the years.
“When I look back, all I see is the faithfulness of God in my life and in my family. It has been a wonderful journey so far. I cherish the peace God has given me, my husband, and our children,” she said.
She thanked her husband for his love, care, and support, describing him as “a hero and a gift.”
Several guests who spoke at the event poured encomiums on the couple, praying for continued good health, longevity, and the grace to celebrate their golden jubilee and beyond.
