This video is part 2 of the video series on the design, production and testing of a fully Automated CNC Rose machine for the ornamental turning of wood, plastic and various metals.
In this video I will briefly describe design, construction and assembly of the Spindle Head for this Rose Ornamental Lathe.
The Spindle Head for the Ornamental Rose Engine design that I have produced is based on the MDF Rose machine design developed by Jon Magill. However, I have made a number of design changes to the spindle head to improve the system and to make it more stable and also to expand its capabilities.
My second goal is to make the Rose machine more rigid and stable. I also want the system to be capable of machining not only wood but also other materials such as plastic and metals. So instead of using MDF for all the components, I will be constructing many of the structural components from aluminum.
I designed the entire Automated Rose Machine using the Fusion 360 software.
