Medicine ball explosive exercises are great for building dynamic strength and improve speed training. Here are a few of my favorites. Make sure to keep the elbow in line with the medicine ball to prevent shoulder injuries. Also, use a submax weight and concentrate on rate of force development (throw it faster).
Remember, your legs aren't the only muscles used when speed training! Use your whole body.
