Taliban fire rockets toward presidential palace

(21 Aug 2018) Afghan forces on Tuesday surrounded a house from where they believe rockets were fired toward the presidential palace in Kabul earlier in the day.
A military aircraft bombed the location.
Police said the Taliban fired rockets toward the palace as President Ashraf Ghani was giving his holiday message for the Muslim celebrations of Eid al-Adha.
They said the first rocket landed somewhere near the presidency, the second near a NATO compound and the US Embassy in Kabul but no one was hurt.
