TARGETED SPECIES: MULLET (FINGER MULLET)
It's that time of year again!! The mullet run is just getting started. I went out the 1st week of September and found some schools schooling around and caught a good amount of them. In the video I caught around 50 of them in the morning and later on in the day, I came back and caught another 50 of them (off camera) and ended up with 100 pieces of fresh finger mullet. That's a good amount of bait, but there will be more to come as the cooler nights come closer and closer.
Join me in this video where I have to ULTIMATE 1st cast FAIL. I just got out and didn't want to waste time as I saw the school right away. I didn't check my net for tangles and well, I paid the price as I only got half of what I saw in the water. I missed a school because it was too far and I got another school of them. Then I didn't see a single thing after that. It was windy, choppy and rough and it made sighting them much more difficult.
