Hello again, everyone! In today’s video, I’m adding some much-needed nutrients to my herbs in the garden. It’s been a few months since I last did this, so it’s time to give these plants some love! Some herbs, like the mint, are bouncing back beautifully, and I’m excited to see them thrive again.
I’ll show you how I use filtered compost and a dynamic lifter to nourish my herbs. The trimmings from my chili plant go straight into the compost bin, contributing to the nutrient cycle in my garden. I love using sugarcane mulch for most plants, as it helps retain moisture, adds nutrients, and keeps weeds at bay. However, for certain herbs like mint, I avoid mulch to ensure their growth isn’t suppressed.
In this video, I’ll demonstrate how I care for each herb—mint, chives, thyme, and oregano—using compost, dynamic lifter, and mulch when appropriate. I also explain why washing the leaves after adding compost is important, especially for delicate herbs like oregano, to prevent any potential fungal issues.
