Aunty Neela is back on the show and in this episode, she shows us how she makes Rasam (a.k.a King Soup). An ideal recipe for the change of the season, when colds and flu run rampant. Enjoy.

Ingredients:
1 chopped, onion
1 chopped, tomato
Curry leaves
Dried Chilies (Quantity depends on your preference)
1 teaspoon, Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon, Ground ginger & garlic
2 teaspoons, Roasted & crushed (jeera seeds, mustard seeds & black pepper)
Tamarind water
Salt
Dhania (coriander)
Dhall (already boiled)
Oil
Preparation:

Method:
1) Heat the oil and add the onion & dried chilies. Allow the onions to brown a bit.
2) Add the turmeric powder, jeera/mustard/pepper mix, and ginger & garlic.
3) Add the tomato and stir.
4) Once the tomato has become soft, add the prepared dhall. (Add water if it's a bit dry)
5) Add the tamarind water, curry leaves, dhania, and salt.
6) Allow it to boil for a few minutes.
