Since taking up the sport of cycling as a hobby, I'd only ever been to Mallorca once before, and although first time around I went there to cycle, it wasn't with a team trying to smash each other to bits on the climbs.
In all honesty, the climbing was all fun natured with a smidge of competitiveness. As a group we worked as a team on the flats and on the climbs, of which there are many, those that wanted to push on, did. We regrouped at the top each time and continued on with our route as a team. No man/woman was left behind.
Café stops were plenty. As were the cups of espresso coffee and Coca-Cola.
