How to Service Mongoose Fat Bike Bottom Bracket

In this first installment of the Mongoose Mini Series, I'll be demonstrating removal of the bottom bracket. Most of the less expensive Mongoose fat bikes will come equipped with this same style bottom bracket, and they tend to come over-tightened and with minimal grease. This can lead to serious issues down the road because of wear to the bearings and spindle. When you first get the bike, I strongly recommend removal and greasing to prevent from premature failure.

**Please note that the bearing position is entirely dependent upon the cage. If the cage completely clears the cone race, it should be placed on facing the cone. If it does not clear the cone, it should be on the cup side.**
