CATEDRAL BAND

Catedral was a Brazilian pop rock band, formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1988, known for addressing in the lyrics of their songs a positive and popular Christian message, added to themes like love and politics. It was the most remarkable Christian rock band in Brazil of the 90's, appearing in the religious scene next to other groups like Rebanhão, Oficina G3, Sacred Fruit, Rescue and Katsbarnea. However, a decision by the group not to confine itself to Christian music meant that she left MK Music and signed a contract with Warner Music Brasil in 1999. However, part of her Christian audience remained faithful to the group, With which this one was indicated and winner in several years in the Talent Trophy, a popular vote. Even so, the band felt embarrassed to have won the award. The band also stood out in the media for its vocalista Kim to have a ring tone of voice similar to the voice of Renato Russo of the band Legião Urbana. Although the band deny any link with the Urban Legion the comparison was unavoidable in the face of criticism.
