BNSF EMD Power on the Staples Sub in Minnesota

Classic power such as SD40-2s, GP38-2s, GP40s, and other EMDs seem to have a rather large foothold on the BNSF Staples Sub. We'll chase the Northtown to Grand Forks manifests two days in a row, and with two all EMD sets of power. The first one is lead by a former Santa Fe GP39-2 which was recently rebuilt, and carries fresh paint. This chase goes from just outside of Northtown Yard until Little Falls. Along the way we'll hear the trains EMD 645E prime movers screaming, and get some nice horn shows along the line. The sound of them pulling in run 8 was wonderful.
The second days chase chase is lead by an SD40-2, and three other EMDs of Burlington Northern, and Santa Fe heritage. It starts off at Osborne Road in Fridley, and ends in Elk River. These trains were a very welcomed treat on an otherwise dull weekend on the railroad.
