Barry Bogs - SJMRRC Virtual Layout Tour 2020

Join us for a tour of Barry Bog's Colorado & Western. Details for the layout are as follows:
• Layout takes 3 rooms of the house and is around 1000 square feet
• Construction time about 10 years
• G scale 22.5/ 1, standard and narrow gauge
• Control via EZDCC system with wireless controllers
• Track schematic is two continuous narrow gauge loops at different levels with the bottom loop also having dual gauge. Can also be ran as a point to point with narrow gauge.
• The railroad is the Denver and Rio Grande Western in the Fall of 1953, for both NG and SG equipment.
• Turnouts: All hand laid track with custom built single and dual gauge turnouts with slow motion switch machines.
• Layout setting is the Rocky Mountains.
• Over forty scratch built steam and diesel locomotives in both SG and NG.
• Scenery was done with plaster mountains wet cast in place with rubber rock molds.
• Layout has 90% scratch built locomotives, cars and structures. All locomotives have DCC sound decoders.  Layout was started in the Spring of 1999.
