Описание:
Winchester city is in Hampshire and used to be the seat of King Alfred. The city walls were built by the Romans and contain the Cathedral which was built in 1079. In 1642 Cromwell's forces broke down the Western window which was collected by the townsfolk and reassembled into a giant mosaic as the original pictures were too damaged to re-construct. It is also the resting place of Jane Austin.
