Volocopter VC200 - all electric flying machine looks cool, sounds ultra quiet

http://www.redferret.net/?p=41254 . This is a clip from e-Volo, the German developers of the Volocopter VC200, a very cool all electric vertical take off machine which can hold two people and fly for around 20 minutes per charge.

This is a maiden flight, so the technology is definitely still in full on development mode, but the surprise is the fact that the craft is so quiet and refined in flight, in contrast to very noisy helicopters.

The team hope to extend out the flying time to several hours using hybrid technology (similar to the Chevy Volt) which will charge the battery packs in flight using a gas powered motor.
