This video is a discussion of the pathways that sensory and motor impulses take to and from the central nervous system. We discuss receptors and sensory filtering and sorting, motor units and the motor homunculus, and even a little censorship! NOTE: Again, due to the loss of my dog I am a little out of sorts, so I made an error when talking about the motor pathways. What I was TRYING to communicate is that the positional names of the anterior corticospinal tracts and the medial pathways is confusing because the "anterior" ones are positionally most medial and the tectospinal, vestibulospinal and rubrospinal pathways appear positionally more anterior, which is confusing. I bungled the explanation though and I don't think it was clear that I meant that in my speech so I am clarifying here.
