A manually-controlled level crossing located next to Ferryside train station in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire. Despite this crossing only just being upgraded in 2019/2020, it’s getting another renewal at the end of this year. As it is already relatively new, there is a possibility they may reuse the existing equipment here. Since the last time I came here in October 2024, they have installed a new pedestrian light on the signal box side of the crossing, which I should imagine is part of the renewal. Unfortunately, also part of the renewal, the existing signal box will be demolished and the semaphore signals replaced with newer technology. In this compilation, we see my first oil train on this channel, and my first active travel 153!
This crossing has 4 Unipart Rail LED Wigwags (with long shades), 1 (Now 2) Unipart Rail Pedestrian LED Lights, 4 Siemens S60 Barriers and 2 Yodalarms (One made by Stahl, one made by Moflash)
