European Portuguese | You need to watch this if you ever want to understand and speak Portuguese

How much longer are you willing to believe the Portuguese speak in a highly articulated, crystal-clear manner?

Spoken European Portuguese is very different to the version you hear on audio material from textbooks and sometimes even tutors. This is intended to help you learn European Portuguese, but if you dwell too much on it, you won’t be able to understand real Portuguese pronunciation.

In this video I explain the differences between real and Cinderella Portuguese and what actually happens to the language (just like in English) when European Portuguese pronunciation is natural.

This doesn’t mean you have to speak like the Portuguese, but my tip is to do so, because you will truly sound like a native.
