Fermanagh Sinn Féin created this short video to remember the 23 Volunteers who took part in the 1981 Hunger Strike.
"Forty years ago today, on the 3rd October, the 1981 Hunger Strike was called off.
Having started on the 1st of March when Bobby Sands started his hunger strike.
By it's end 10 hunger strikers had paid the ultimate sacrifice and died. Bobby Sands, Francis Hughes, Ray McCreesh, Patsy O’Hara, Joe McDonnell, Martin Hurson, Kevin Lynch, Kieran Doherty, Thomas McElwee and Mickey Devine.
13 other prisoners had also joined the '81 Hunger Strike. Brendan McLaughlin, Paddy Quinn, Laurence McKeown, Pat McGeown, Matt Devlin, Liam McCloskey, Patrick Sheehan, Jackie McMullan, Bernard Fox, Hugh Carville, John Pickering, Gerard Hodgins and James Devine.
Today, we remember them all."
