My visit to Asmara was very eye opening and pleasant. After being labeled as the North Korea of Africa and the Italy of Africa I was compelled to see for myself. In this video I was fortunate to attend the Eritrean Festival in Asmara for 2025 as well as mingle with the locals. I also share some little known history about the Italian presence in Eritrea during the early 1900s. Mussolini had big plans for this country which showed in Italy's large investment into the architecture and infrastructure of Asmara.
