बांगलादेशमध्ये हिंदूंवर होणाऱ्या अनन्वित अत्याचारामुळे देशात संतापाचे वातावरण आहे. उर्दूवुडला मात्र यामुळे काही फरक पडताना दिसत नाही. शाहरुख खानने हिंदूंच्या जखमांवर मीठ चोळण्याचा प्रकार केला आहे. तिथे हिंदूंना जाळले जात आहे, त्यांना गोळ्या घातल्या जात आहेत, अशा काळात शाहरुख आयपीएलसाठी बांगलादेशच्या मुस्ताफीजूर रेहमान या खेळाडूला उरावर घेतो आहे. कोलकाता नाईट रायडरसाठी ९.२० कोटी रुपये देऊन करारबद्दध केले आहे. त्याचा जीव फक्त इस्लामी भाईबंदांसाठी कळवळतो, त्याच्या हिंदूंच्या वेदनांशी त्याला काही देणेघेणे नाही, हे शाहरुखने पुन्हा दाखवून दिले आहे. बांगलादेशात हिंदूंच्या विरोधात फक्त बांगलादेशची जनता नाही, तर तिथला हंगामी सत्ताधीश मोहमद यूनस हाच मुख्य भारत विरोधी आहे. त्याने तर एका मुलाखतीत असे स्पष्ट म्हटले आहे, बांगलादेशातील हिंदूंनी स्वत:ला हिंदू म्हणवून घेणे बंद केले पाहीजे. हिंदूंबाबतचा द्वेष यांच्या रक्तात आहे. तो सहजी जाणे शक्य नाही. यूनसच्या राजवटीत बांगलादेशात हिंदू अधिक असुरक्षित झाला आहे. दिपू चंद्र दासला जिवंत जाळल्यानंतर बजेंद्र विस्वास या तरुणाला गोळ्या घालून ठार करण्यात आले आहे. किती हिंदूंची घरे जाळली गेली, किती महिलांवर-तरुणींवर बलात्कार झाले त्याची काही मोजदाजच नाही.

In an interview, he explicitly stated that Hindus in Bangladesh should stop calling themselves Hindus. Hatred towards Hindus runs in their blood, and it is not something that can easily disappear. Under Yunus’s rule, Hindus in Bangladesh have become even more insecure.

After Deepu Chandra Das was burned alive, another young man, Bajendra Biswas, was shot dead. There is no accurate count of how many Hindu homes have been burned or how many women and young girls have been raped.
