Most enthusiasts will know that getting Class 25s for haulage was not such an easy thing to achieve. That is of course not true for those that would put aside a summer Saturday and venture along to the Cambrian line where they became a regular thing from 1975 on the Aberystwyth-Euston services. Prior to 1975 they were class 24 hauled and the odd Class 24 would still appear right up until the final working in January 1978. Shown here are a few examples of the Class 25 workings running in the usual pairs at various locations. Please note that the original Super 8 cine film has been re-dubbed using similar sound for effect.
