From over 1,000 km away, Eliane describes the tremors felt in Thailand and the severe damage to homes, schools, and health centers in Myanmar. UNICEF is deeply concerned for the safety of children, particularly those separated from their families or trapped in damaged buildings. With pre-positioned supplies and a strong partner network, UNICEF is mobilizing aid, but with 30% of Myanmar's population already in urgent need before the earthquake, the situation is even more critical.
