Sweet & Spicy "Chicken" w/ Butler Soy Curls! (vegan)

I'm back with another recipe using Butler Soy Curls. Next, I'll try to make something beef-like. Here I make a quick and easy "sweet and spicy" chicken-like dish. **Also, what goodies did my mom bring back from Jamaica?
Recipe:
Put 1 cup of dried Butler Soy Curls in a large bowl. Add 1/2 tbsp vegan chicken stock to bowl, cover everything with boiling water and leave fore 10 minutes.
After ten minutes, drain soy curls (but keep the water). Dry the so curls and put in a dry bowl. Add:
1/2- 1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp nutritional yeast
1/8 tsp chili flakes
1/2 tbsp vegan chicken stock
Mix all together to incorporate. Then, add 1/4 cup flour to the bowl and mix with your fingers until evenly combined.
Fry in a pan. While frying, add 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp organic cane sugar, and 1/4 tsp chili flakes to your reserved water with the vegan chicken stock. After both sides of the soy curls are browned, add this mixture. Add fresh broccoli or mushrooms (or both!). To thicken the sauce, add a water and cornstarch mixture, approx 1/3 cup water and 1 tsp corn starch. Enjoy!
