Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) is a relatively new therapeutic approach which is showing great promising in its effectiveness for treating various mental disorders and challenges. Research shows that it’s particularly effective in treating anxiety and depression.
This is the sixth episode of a 10-part series of short videos, each covering a key concept, technique or strategy from Metacognitive Therapy. In this video, we look at Attention Training Technique (ATT) which, is a key concept used in MCT to help us train our mental agility. It reminds that where we focus our attention is always within our control. ATT can be particularly helpful in shifting our attention away from our thoughts, reducing overthinking, such as rumination and worrying, as we often see in anxiety and depression.
Make sure to subscribe to not miss out on any of the future episodes.

About me:
I’m Camilla. I’m an authorized psychologist based in Denmark. For the past 6 years, I have been working with both individuals and workplaces to improve mental well-being. I have an eclectic and systemic approach to therapy and psychology, and I draw on a wide range of theories and methods to ensure the best understanding and treatment for each topic or individual.
On this channel, my mission is to improve mental health awareness and to spread better mental wellbeing to more people. I believe that through knowledge and awareness, we each have the power to take control of our own cognition. This is the founding principle of my business, Cognilead.
