Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse live at The Tuesday Night Music Club 29th March 2022

They'd played at The Tuesday Night Music Club twice before and each time word had spread that they were a must see band. That in itself had driven anticipation of their return but the forced rescheduling of the show due to the pandemic, which had made the wait for their return even longer, pushed that anticipation even higher. The Club was packed and as the lights dimmed there was a palpable energy in the air. When Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse were finally introduced, took to the stage and tore into 'Heartbreaker' we swear that energy nearly blew the room apart! For the next two hours Robin Davey (guitars), Greta Valenti (vocals) Mark Barrett (drums), Emma Jonson (keys) and Stephen Mildwater (bass) didn't let up - in fact far from it! They just built and built and built - by the time that Greta decided to use a table in the middle of the audience as her stage that audience were euphoric. We were treated to favourites from their first album, 'Love & Murder', and what will be favourites from their newly released 'Good Times End Times' - each one delivered with so much passion that the audience were left almost as exhausted as the band. As one audience member (who had never experienced Beaux Gris before) said as he left 'I have just seen my new favourite band!'

Videos, particularly caught handheld, can never do justice to the live show itself so do get a ticket to see this band whenever you can. But as a taster we've found a stack of videos from the night - they'll also serve as a reminder of the night for those who were there.
