In Part 12 of our Canada Road Trip – Maximized Travel series, the family makes a stop in Springfield, Massachusetts, to visit the world-famous Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame — and they have an absolute blast!
Inside, they learn about the history of basketball, first invented in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith right here in Springfield. With over 40,000 square feet of exhibits, interactive displays, and memorabilia from basketball legends like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Kobe Bryant, there’s something for every hoops fan.
The family enjoys testing their knowledge and skills, seeing how the game evolved from peach baskets to modern arenas. To cap off their visit, they hit the full-sized basketball courts downstairs to show off their moves — and maybe reveal just how long it’s been since their glory days. Let’s just say the Bengay was definitely needed after this one!
