Welcome to the second episode of our new short features entitled 'History Hot spots'. In this episode join me as I take you on a visit to a very windswept Beeston Castle in Cheshire built by Ranulf 6th Earl of Chester in the 13th century. See for yourself what remains of this castle built on the site of an earlier Iron Age Hillfort. The castle was also the site of a civil war siege between 1644 to 1645.
