This video review covers the features and benefits of Blue Ox base plates. Blue Ox baseplates are designed specifically for each vehicle. Base plates are available popular models like the Honda CRV and Jeep Wrangler while also being available for virtually any towed vehicle. Because Blue Ox base plates are designed specifically for each vehicle, they're typically easy to install. The mount to existing frame members and do not require any welding. Each base plate has extensive installation instructions that walk you through the process of installation. Some Blue Ox base plates include removable tabs that help to visually hide the base plate when not in use. Not all vehicles have that option, but many of the later models do. Blue Ox baseplates also have a mounting location for a 6-way electrical connector, making connecting your wiring easy. All late model Blue Ox baseplates also include safety cables that mount between your vehicle's chassis and the baseplate, adding an additional margin of safety. Hi, I'm Ken of hitchsource.com. Today we're talking about Blue Ox base plates. Blue Ox base plates are designed for each individual vehicle so there are hundreds of different models available. They're much easier to install and each design mounts to existing frame [inaudible 00:22] of the car. A couple of unique features about the Blue Ox base plates - we have tabs for the safety cables now from your coach and we also have tabs that are on the tow bar itself. These are available in two configurations. We've got fixed tabs and removable tabs. These particular ones are removable. And the way the removable ones work you simply pull this open and rotate the bar and it comes out if you're not using it. The nice thing about that it it's also invisible on your vehicle when you're not being towed. To put this on you just push it down, rotate it over, and you click it into place. We also have mounting points for the electrical connector. The nice thing about that is it keeps out of the way and easily convenient in terms of getting the [inaudible 1:06] plugged in. And then as far as installation is concerned it comes with a whole kit of grade 5 hardware. It also comes with an installation instruction manual that takes you through every little detail for your specific vehicle. All the late model base plates also come with safety cables. This actually mounts between your base plate and your vehicle chassis. The advantage of that is if you have some sort of a failure it would keep the base plate attached. And then finally as far as installation is concerned most of our customers do their own installations but we also have customers that do installations with their local mechanic or their body shop and so it's just a really great way to save some money and get a great tow bar system installed in your vehicle.
