Shred cabbage, and squeeze water out of cabbage. add 2 tsp salt to each pound of cabbage, enough water to cover , caraway seeds /caraway seed powder ( if you like.) . Put cabbage in crock, or whatever container you have, place a weight on top of cabbage so cabbage is submerged in salt water. That's it....wait until it rots and turns into sauerkraut....check every so often to make sure it is UNDER the water, not exposed to air....after about a month, or sooner, take out of container and put in refrigerator....it will stay good for a few months ...enjoy ....
