A few parking spaces on the roadside just after a quarry on the right out of La Grave. VF information board at road side.
15mins to start. VF 1.5 hrs Return 2 hrs.
A long trek but well worth the effort. When you first look up at the rock barrier you think where the hell is a route up there. As you start the VF you see how the VF pans out with plenty of VF terrain and airy exposures to please all abilities.
The derelict mines are a bonus. Pause to think miners would have to scale flimsy ladders without protection just to get to work every morning. Mind it sure beats the work commute.
