NOTE: I can count. I did start 7 bags. I had already put one in the tray.
I have planted geraniums in my garden for several years. After trying milky spores and beneficial nematodes I still battled Japanese beetles every year. After starting to use geraniums as a trap plant, the Japanese beetle population started declining quickly. Last year I had about a dozen, total. I often gather the anesthetized beetles from around the geraniums, but mostly other predators get them. Don't expect a huge difference the first year, but it seems their reproductive cycle is disrupted so over the years they decrease.
