I bought this neat little CRT monitor from 1988 from an estate sale for only a buck a while back. Unfortunately, the power button was broken, so I had to buy a replacement off eBay and spend hours swapping it out.
The Magnavox CM8762 is a clone of the famous Commodore 1084, which is known for its sharp pitch slot mask tube (0.42mm) with a fairly high TV Line count (muh scanlines). In an effort to cut costs, the chroma and analog RGB inputs were removed. It's also missing the "Comb Defeat" button that other Magnavox models have, which results in composite having a blurry picture with lots of dot crawl and rainbow fringing. Fortunately, the chassis has an unused header for a SCART input, so it's very easy to RGB mod this CRT into something close to PVM quality.
