Evelyn Calado
Evelyn Calado is the owner and head strength coach of Avos Strength and the creator of the Avos Boxing Battery (ABB), a 90-minute boxing-specific performance assessment. Evelyn has a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA.
She competed at the national level as an amateur boxer for 8 years and brings a multi-sport background to her coaching. Evelyn is also a Registered Kinesiologist, Biomechanics Specialist, Functional Movement Systems certified, and a certified NCCP Level 2 Boxing Coach and Weightlifting Coach.
Her mission is to help athletes create a strong link between sport and strength and conditioning to improve movement competency, prevent injury, and build confidence so skills can transfer successfully to sport performance and everyday life.
