The first lecture of the Grassroots Innovation Training is on the Introduction to Indigo Dyes and the global trend of Indigo dyes use in textile dyeing. Prof Bukgu Heo delivers examples of traditional and modern indigo dyeing methods from several countries such as, South Korea, Japan, India, and Taiwan in comparison with method that widely used in Indonesia. The lesson learn from many countries can be used to improve the dyeing method for Batik to increase the color fastness.
