In this video, we're going to show you 2 easy home exercises that can help relieve cervicogenic headache and dizziness. If you're someone who experiences tension-type headaches or migraines, these exercises might also be beneficial for you.
00:00 Introduction
00:51 Cervical SNAG rotation
01:56 Neck extension return to midline
02:19 Right rotation return to midline
02:42 Left rotation return to midline
02:53 Around the clock
03:41 Summary
The first exercise I'll demonstrate is called the Cervical SNAG rotation. This exercise focuses on the neck and involves gently mobilizing the cervical spine.
It can help reduce pain and stiffness in the neck, which is often associated with cervicogenic headaches. I'm using a yoga stretch strap to help with this exercise.

Next, is a series of exercises that target joint position sense for cervical proprioception. These exercises aim to improve the body's awareness and control of neck movement.
Here I perform neck extension return to midline, Rotation return to midline (both right and left), and around the clock (both clockwise and counterclockwise). For each I return to the laser pointer to the center of the bulleyes.

I printed this template online, but you can also use shapes and mazes to increase the complexity and challenge for cervical control exercises.
By following the laser point and maintaining accurate head movements, you can enhance your cervical proprioception, potentially reducing symptoms of cervicogenic headache and dizziness.
Whether you've been struggling with cervicogenic headaches or other headache types, these 2 exercises provide a practical approach to manage and alleviate your symptoms from the comfort of your own home.
