Dating in your 20s is one thing, but dating in NYC as the eldest daughter, ESPECIALLY coming from an immigrant family? That's a WHOLE other thing!
We are taught to be highly independent, but how does that affect us when it comes to dating? Especially for the girlies who are tired of being the "strong one".
I don't know what it is about this city, but personally, It's hard to form a romantic connection when you have been exposed to more natural dating patterns elsewhere. I've been on a few dates in NYC, but nothing compares to the soft-life treatment I've been spoiled with abroad!
I took a pause on dating and entertaining pursuers for 2 years, and it was the most liberating feeling ever, but it's summer and we know everyone wants a summer love story, will this be the summer where we find love?
