Chocolate Babka also known as Twisted Chocolate Bread
A simple brioche that is turned into full of fun chocolate goodness, say Hello to Babka!

Ingredients:-
Bread:
Plain Flour 2 cups
Sugar 1/4 cup
Instant Yeast 2 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Orange Zest 1/2 tsp
Lukewarm Milk 1/3 cup
Eggs 2
Unsalted Butter 1/3 cup
Chocolate Filling:
Cocoa Powder 1/3 cup
Icing Sugar 1/4 cup
Unsalted Butter 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp
Dark Chocolate 80g
Milk 2 tbsp
Chopped Dark Chocolate 20g (optional)
Method:-
Step 1:- In a large bowl add the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, orange zest and mix it. Now add the eggs and milk knead the dough for 5 minutes.
Step 2:- Add 2 tbsp of butter at a time and knead for total of 3 minutes or more. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 2 hours.
Step 3:- In a separate bowl, add chocolate filling ingredients (except for the chopped chocolate and milk) and microwave with 20 seconds interval mixing in between until
the the chocolate is melted. Then add the milk and mix for a smooth consistency.
Step 4:- On a floured surface, roll the dough in a rectangle shape.Spread the Chocolate filling mixture on to the rolled dough and spread it evenly with a spoon.
Add chopped dark chocolate and roll the dough in a long cylinder shape. Slit the dough horizontally with a sharp knife.
Step 5:- Overlap the two long dough (which have been cut) four to five times forming like a braid and sealing the ends by pressing the ends into each other.
Step 6:- Carefully place this braid in an 8 inch greased pan. Cover the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Step 7:- Now remove the cling film/cover and brush the dough/braid with an eggwash. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot, warm or cold.
