Well, I won't have a baking show any time soon! Haha, I tried to share some Christmas baking but this accidentally turned into more of a bookish vlog.

White Chocolate Crunch
1 box Golden Grahams (gluten) or Chex (gluten free)
3 cups white chocolate
1 cup sliced almonds
1/4 tsp almond extract
mix together cereal and almonds
melt the chocolate a double boiler, remove from heat and add the almond extract
pour the chocolate over cereal mixture and toss and stir until well combined
spread onto parchment paper to let the chocolate harden
once hardened, break into bite sized pieces and store in an airtight container
Reindeer Munch
1 box Chex
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups powered sugar
pour the cereal into a bowl
melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in a microwave in 30 second increments until it's all melted
pour the chocolate over the cereal and mix
place the powered sugar in a large ziploc bag, add the cereal, close the bag and shake until it's well combined
store in an airtight container
Ginger Snaps
3/4 cup butter softened (but not melted)
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup molasses
2 eggs
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon sea salt
1½ teaspoons baking soda
3 cups gluten free all purpose flour + more if too sticky
1/4 cup white sugar
preheat oven to 350° F.
in a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer, cream the butter, ½ cup of the cane sugar and the brown sugar
add the molasses and eggs and continue mixing until it’s well combined
add the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, sea salt and baking soda and mix well
add the gluten free flour and mix until well combined
roll the gingersnap cookie dough into 1 inch balls, then roll each ball in the remaining ½ cup of cane sugar
lay the ball on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat until you’ve used all the dough.
bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are crackled and set
allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
Hot Citrus Cider
4 cups apple cider (I just used apple juice)
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup tropical juice or pineapple juice
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves
a pinch of salt
simmer on medium low for 30-60 minutes
remove the cinnamon stick and cloves and serve
