Taking Cooking food back to basics.

Chocolate Sponge Ingredients:

I USED - 125g self Raising flour - I will give you the recipe if you do not have

All-purpose flour - 125g
Unsweetened cocoa powder - 50g
Baking powder - 7.5g (approximately 1.5 teaspoons)
Salt - 1.25g (approximately 1/4 teaspoon)
Granulated sugar - 150g
Unsalted butter, softened - 115g
2 large eggs
Vanilla extract - 5ml (approximately 1 teaspoon)
Whole milk – 120ml

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Pink Custard Ingredients:
Whole milk - 480ml (approximately 2 cups)
Granulated sugar - 50g (approximately 1/4 cup)
Cornstarch - 16g (approximately 2 tablespoons)
Salt - 1.25g (approximately 1/4 teaspoon)
2 large egg yolks (no conversion needed)
Vanilla extract - 5ml (approximately 1 teaspoon)
A few drops of red food coloring
