The TULSA Procedure is a new solution for men with prostate disease, including prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. It’s a minimally invasive treatment that is incision-free, radiation-free, and performed in an outpatient setting. ‘TULSA’ stands for ‘Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation’. Transurethral, because the device reaches the prostate by entering the urethra. Ultrasound, because ultrasound energy is used to heat the prostate tissue.
