00:12 - Use a 6 mm wide knife blade with a very tapered and thin tip to enter the tight spaces above the wings tips without widen them too much.
Sharpen it with a "full" bevel (not concave) to obtain a smoother and fluent cutting action even in concave curves.

00:29 - Always keep the elbow securely leaned to the body side to gain the necessary cutting control, using the wrist movement rather than the arm to follow the curves, limiting the movement as much as possible.
Cut the walls of the stems at about 90° with the surfaces of the plate, to avoid the formation of too delicate and acute angles on the margins of the stems.

13:15 - After finishing the cut with the knife, saturate the F-hole walls with hot hide glue, applying it even on the surrounding inside surface of the plate, making sure not to affect the outside surface.
This will help to harden and consolidate the wood while preserving the delicate details of the wing tips and providing greater wear resistance.

13:32 - Wait at least 8 hours so the glue has time to dry and harden completely.
Continue with a light finishing of the F-hole walls which will be swollen because of the absorbed glue, proceeding last with the cutting of the notches to give to F-holes their final appearance.
