Lex Luthor Suite | Superman 2025 (Original Soundtrack) by John Murphy & David Fleming

Superman is here! As such, I want to make suites of some of the themes that appear in the film. Lex's theme is one that makes a bold, impactful entrance in the LuthorCorp track, with a plucking ostinato and moody chords, before his four note motif takes center stage on villainous strings. The matter in which his theme is performed is what makes it stick out, with moody rock elements and churning guitars, but also some grander, classically dubious renditions in tracks like Intruder or The Rift. Perhaps the most interesting development of his theme comes partway through the final battle in Remote Control, where it evolves into something much more machievellian and grand, eventually leading to a satisfying, nigh operatic close in the final track of the suite. It's not my personal favorite Lex theme, but those new, unique additions that Murphy gave it help make it stand out.
