BACKPACKING MAURITANIA: Chinguetti, Ouadane and The Eye of The Sahara

Episode 2 of my journey through Mauritania! Over the next week, I am participating in a group trip whereby we will be traversing the depths of the Sahara Desert in a convoy of 4x4s. In this episode, we visit the ancient villages (and UNESCO World Heritage sites) of Chinguetti and Ouadane. We also get a glimpse of the infamous Eye of the Sahara while continuing our journey eastward, deeper into the Sahara Desert.
